I posted a couple of days ago about how some of my close friends lost their 18-month-old daughter suddenly. Results from the autopsy revealed she suffered from a very rare disorder that is so uncommon it doesn’t even have a name. The doctors are calling it Mobile Bowel; essentially the connective tissues that hold the intestines and bladder in place and connected to the stomach aren’t there. The affected person’s bowels literally float around inside their body.
While this is stunning and, in the words of my dear friend, “unreal,” it is good to know the reason behind what happened to little Ryann, and it’s good to know that there is nothing my friends – or anyone else – could have done to prevent this tragic outcome. In reality they got a lot more time with her than one would expect from someone who has this terribly rare disorder.
Unfortunately, in addition to dealing with the loss of such a precious little one, my friends are now also confronted with medical and funeral expenses that they cannot cover on their own. In an attempt to help, we have set up a way for those who can to contribute to a fund to help them cover the expenses related to the sad situation.
If you are able, please consider helping this young couple. Donations are secure through PayPal and 100% will go toward medical and funeral expenses for Ryann. Click the link below to donate. Thank you for your generosity.
